In short
- No tracking, no advertising cookies, no analytics services and no profiling.
- What you follow on the site is stored only in your own browser.
- We do not sell data and only share it with services we need to run BoosterScout.
What we process
- Visiting the site. The site runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and secure the site. We do not look at it or build profiles. Legal basis: legitimate interest (a working, secure site).
- Product images. Some images load directly from the shop's website. That shop then sees your IP address, as with any image from another site.
- Email alerts. Your email address and what you want to follow. We send the emails via Resend. You can unsubscribe at any time. Legal basis: consent. We keep your address until you unsubscribe.
- Telegram alerts. Your Telegram chat ID, language and what you follow. /stop deletes this immediately. We keep a record of sent messages for 7 days to avoid duplicates. Telegram processes messages under its own privacy policy. Legal basis: consent.
- WhatsApp alerts (paid). Your phone number, what you follow, your trial and paid-until date. Messages are sent via Meta's WhatsApp Business platform, payments via Mollie (Amsterdam). For payments we keep the payment ID, amount, period and date for 7 years, as required by law for bookkeeping. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligation.
- Report error. The product, shop, reason and your note. To limit misuse we keep a short daily code derived from your IP address; your IP address cannot be recovered from it. We keep reports until handled, at most 12 months. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Contact form. Your name, email address and message, with the same short code against misuse. We keep this until your question is handled and at most 12 months after. Legal basis: legitimate interest (answering you).
- Shop sign-up. Details of the shop and its contact person. We keep them as long as the shop is in the comparison or we are in contact about it. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Clicking through to a shop. The shop or partner network may set a cookie to attribute a purchase to us. Their policy applies. We only learn that a purchase happened, not who you are.
Services we use
Cloudflare (hosting and database), Resend (email), Telegram (messages), Meta (WhatsApp) and Mollie (payments). Services that process data on our behalf are bound by agreements on security and confidentiality. Some are based in the United States; transfers then rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Security
Connections are encrypted (https). Access to administration and keys is restricted. We keep no more than necessary.
Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your data, restrict processing, object and ask for data portability. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send your request via the contact form (choose Privacy request); we respond within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.
Changes
If we change how we process data, we update this statement. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
